DKL rounded off the summer months with two condensate pump sets supplied for the Rolls Royce Aerospace Division site at Derby. The project initially began with a site visit to assess the existing installation and the unique requirements for the new units. DKL’s technical team work closely with the site sub-contractor to ensure that each unit was designed to suit the spatial constraints and environment each were to be positioned in.
Both units were manufactured wholly from 316L Stainless Steel, including the Vessel, Insulation Casing, Framework, Panel Enclosure and Pipework (even down to each Nut, Bolt and Washer!), to suit the external environment. DKL also provided, as part of our insulation package, 316L Stainless Steel pump and level switch covers to provide further protection (not pictured). Xylem provided horizontally mounted end-suction pumps which suited the particularly low NPSH requirements, due to the maximum height restrictions at one of the locations.
