The start of 2020 has seen a variety of designs cross our desks here at DKL, including the most recent package supplied for RAF Northolt.
The package itself contains a 450kW Gasketed Stainless Steel Heat Exchanger pre-assembled with Twin-Headed Circulating Pumps, Pressurisation Units, pipework and valves, on mounted on a powder coated Mild Steel skid base. The bespoke design of the unit allows a complete break between the existing district main and new heating system, ensuring there is no cross-contamination between the two systems.
Due to access restrictions on site, the unit was manufactured on three separate skids which could be easily separated for delivery and positioning, before being bolted back together once in place. By providing a complete ‘Design & Build’ service to our client we were able to reduce their own onsite design requirements and assembly time.
